Care Philosophy
Jeffrey P. Johnson, DC
Doctor of Chiropractic | Manipulation Under Anesthesia | Regenerative Medicine Specialist
Dr. Jeffrey P. Johnson has more than 41 years of dedicated private practice. He earned his undergraduate degree from the University of South Florida in Tampa and his Doctorates degree from Life University in Marietta, Georgia, in 1985. In 1986, he founded Johnson Medical Center in Venice, Florida, where he has remained a leading practitioner on the west coast of Florida ever since.
Dr. Johnson’s guiding philosophy is to help patients rediscover their quality of life by restoring mobility, strength, and the body’s natural ability to heal. Rather than focusing solely on symptoms, he addresses the full spectrum of patient wellness—including lifestyle factors, home exercise programs, stretching routines, and nutritional support—recognizing that comprehensive care yields superior and more enduring outcomes.
His practice emphasizes advanced, evidence-based modalities for patients who have not achieved satisfactory results with conventional approaches such as physical therapy, standard chiropractic care, steroidal injections, pain management, or surgery. Dr. Johnson has been on the forefront of the regenerative medicine field for many years. He is specially trained in Manipulation Under Anesthesia (MUA) and holds certification from the National Academy of Manipulation Under Anesthesia Physicians. He is also a member of the ACA, the FCA, and other professional organizations.
Under his leadership, Johnson Medical Center has evolved into one of the region’s premier integrative medical facilities, offering a unique multidisciplinary model that combines regenerative medicine, advanced chiropractic mobilization and manipulation, and physical rehabilitation under one roof—a rare approach on Florida’s west coast. Current and expanding services include regenerative injections (including cellular Wharton’s jelly [CWJ], purified amniotic fluid [PAF], PRP, and Alpha-2-Macroglobulin [A2M]), IV therapies, advanced chiropractic techniques, peptide therapies, acoustic wave (shockwave) therapy, nutritional therapy, Class IV laser therapy, computerized spinal decompression, regenerative esthetics, and additional holistic modalities. All treatments are delivered with a patient-centered focus on non-surgical, minimally invasive solutions that target the root causes of pain and dysfunction.
Dr. Johnson is supported by an exceptional team of licensed providers and staff who share his commitment to personalized results-driven care. He continues to explore opportunities for practice expansion to bring this integrated model to additional patients across Sarasota County and beyond. He has also been actively involved in numerous civic organizations, including serving as past president of the Venice Nokomis Rotary Club, as a board member of the Venice Youth Boating Association, and as Fleet Surgeon of the Venice Yacht Club.
